When we are behind our own four walls,we like to have our home entertainement don't we?,so here is the music, the films and the books that I have loved to hear, see or read in the past and still love to hear, see and read in the present and the future.......

My favourite films

The good, the bad and the ugly
I really love this film,it has everything that a film could possibly have in it,it's just like real life is.There are dramatical bits, funny bits and ugly life bits too,so it's just like real life.I first saw this when I was about 15 years old on the TV and I just loved it,along with it's soundtrack by Ennio Morricone. I have seen this film so many times, that I could watch it with the volume turned off,and still know it word for word!...

My favourite music

The Moody Blues
I have loved this goup ever since I can remember,at least since 1974.I had already loved and possessed the old single of 'Go now' and had loved the song of 'Nights in white satin' for what seemed years.
I was always listening to the radio and had heard 'I dreamed last night' and just loved it!,I bought the single and then fell in love with the L.P cover in W.H.Smiths of the album 'Blues Jays' by Justin Heyward and John Lodge (members of The Moody Blues) from where the single was from and from then on was hooked until my dying day.
I guess I love The Moody Blues music of the late 1960s,early 1970s so much because it reminds me of the olden days?.I know that sounds silly, but to me,their music reminds me of the days of King Arthur and the knights of the round table,of princes and princessess, fairy stories I suppose?.Their music has always made me think of these kind of things ever since I was in my very early teens. The song 'Melancholy man' from the album 'Question of balance'actually conjures up images in my mind of the Egyptian days of the Pharoahs.
The song 'The actor' from 'The lost chord' says so much to me about being in love with someone that you can never possibly have, the part where it goes "Sounds I have heard in your hellos, darling, you're almost part of me,darling, you're all I'll ever need" just makes my skin tingle from head to toe.'Tuesday afternoon from 'Days of future past' ia another of my absolute favourites too,and so is 'Watching and waiting' from the albim 'To our childrens, childresn, children',so many of their tracks are beautiful and timelaess.

The Bee Gees
I have loved this group since I was a small child, except I didn't realise until it was them that I loved until I was around 13.I loved songs like 'Gotta get a message to you','Don't forget to remember','First of May' and especially 'I started a joke' and 'Saved by the Bell' when I was very very young, like I said in my life story,I was very grown up in my musical tastes. The other kids at secondary school didn't know who the Hell I was on about with The Bee Gees, but my sister Mel shared my passion for them, and she still does.

Electronica/Dance Music
I just love Electronica/Dance music!.I first really got into this kind of music around three years ago when I first heard Leftfields 'Leftism',from then on,I was totally hooked.I love any of the 'Ibiza' or 'Chillout' albums, but the best ones of all are 'Euphoria' and ''The best Euphoric breakdown mixes',I have all of the albums of these that I can find, they are all compilation albums, but the way that they are mixed into one another makes them sound that they were meant to be like that.My favourite dance mixers on the Euphoria CDs is Dave Pearce,Matt Darey and DJ.Tiesto.The album of Sarah McLachlan remixes is fantastic too,her song 'Silence' will be forever one of my favourite songs of all times,so will 'HideU' by Kosheen.

Ennio Morricone
I just love music by Ennio Morricone, famed for his sound tracks to Spaghetti Westerns like 'The good, the bad and the ugly','A fist full of Dollars' and 'A few Dollars more',also for great masterpieces like 'Once upon a time in the West' and 'The Mission'.I have been into Ennio Morricone since I was 15 and first saw 'The good, the bad and the ugly',my all time favourite film, with my all time favourite soundtrack, which one made which eh? .

Sarah Brightman
I just love this womans voice, she has the voice of an angel and I wish that I could sing like her.I first heard her on the track 'A gentlemans honour' from the Philip Glass album 'The Photographer' and then of course in 'Phantom of the Opera'.But I really discovered her wonderful voice on the single 'Time to say goodbye' with Andrew Bocelli,it is also featured in one of my all time favourite films 'Ronin'.Her album 'La Luna' is always playing on my CD deck.
